Night Porter / Cleaner

Duties:

  • To vacuum and clean all public areas
  • To thoroughly clean all toilets
  • To assist with the checking-in of guests
  • To carry guests luggage to and from bedrooms
  • To promote and sell hotel facilities at all times
  • To supply additional items to guest bedrooms
  • To man the reception desk and to answer guest queries and telephone calls
  • To carry out three security check rounds during the night
  • To ensure all areas are locked up in the evening
  • To be fully conversant with the fire procedures and evacuation procedures for the whole hotel
  • To be vigilant with regard to suspicious guests on the premises
  • To ensure that fire exits, stair and corridors are at all times kept free from obstructions
  • To carry out cleaning duties as requested by the management team

A commitment to standards and attention to detail is required, previous Porters experience is desirable.

  • Excellent organisational / time management skills are required
  • Flexibility is required in this position
  • Must have permission to work in Ireland on a full time basis

Accommodation Assistant (Variable Hours)

Scope and general purpose:

Working as part of the Accommodation team, the successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning bedrooms, cleaning public areas and delivering excellent guest care.

Experience:

  • Have previous experience as a housekeeper / accommodation assistant
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Be passionate about delivering excellent customer care
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be willing to work shift work and weekends as required

Kitchen Porter

Under the general guidelines of the Head Chef, ensure the day-to-day operations are carried out in line with departmental and hotel standards in order to provide 100% quality service to guests at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the highest standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the kitchen and back of house areas at all times.
  • To carry out all cleaning in accordance with departmental standards.
  • To follow, record and document all cleaning as required by the kitchen procedures which are determined by the Head Chef.
  • To clean all appliances in line with the predetermined methods as set out by the Head Chef. This includes the use of chemicals, the methods to be followed and the procedure.
  • To ensure that the kitchen team have sufficient quantities of items to allow them to complete their duties at all times.
  • To complete all departmental checklists for the AM/PM shifts as necessary.
  • To ensure that all duties are completed prior to going off duty.
  • To follow the agreed HACCP standards as trained.

The Candidate:

  • Previous kitchen porter experience is desirable but not essential
  • High attention to detail
  • Good team player
  • Must have permission to work in Ireland on a full time basis
